That's fantastic Jamas! The red panda looks as if it's enjoying its Jamas encounter.... My wife had a cheetah encounter on Saturday (slightly less 'holding on lap' action) maybe you were there at the same time?
I was there on Sunday.
I'm not sure what other encounter I want to do. What the cheetah one consist of?
You spend about 20-30 minutes inside the enclosure (with keepers in careful attendance) with two Cheetahs. You get to stroke them (NOT their heads) and basically commune with these beautiful big cats - who even purr contentedly. Haven't done it myself but this was Rose's second time - and it is apparently a very moving experience... perhaps with an added frisson of danger...
