In Den Uffizien

Oooh, a film festival with documentaries? Don't mind if I do! Although I only saw one: Inside the Uffizi.

The Uffizi is a museum in Florence, and we go behind the scenes as they deal with some supporters coming to them, and setting up some new pieces. It's one of those "just watch people do things" documentary, with a very minor talking head interview with the librarian to give us some basics about the Uffizi.

This is as much about people who visit the museum as it is about the pieces and the people working there. There's a great moment where they have one person talk about a piece, Medusa, and then we see many people take a photo of it and move on... which is a little undercut later with someone saying that people do that... yeah, we got that. There is something in the "show and don't tell" presentation.

Anyway, an interesting enough look at what's going on in a rather famous museum.
